Face redness

Can anybody help with what I should use to clear up this redness on my cheeks? It’s not particularly ‘spotty’ but there are clusters and it’s showing through under my concealer and foundation.

I would go and see a GP. Not a professional but it looks a bit like rosacea to me. I have it and the only thing that has helped is prescription cream (soolantra in my case.) Good luck!

yep I would say rosacea too, is it sore? Gp can give you cream to help or dermol cream over the counter helps mine. Led face mask on the balance mode helps for 10 mins a day also.

Looks like rosacea. I got mine under control with reduced stress and lifestyle interventions. I was on ABs for a bit but I had a reaction, possibly due to the fact that ABs are rubbish for your gut and your skin often tells the story of what is going on inside of your body.

I used Clinique products when in flare up - their redness moisturiser was good. Nars foundation gave sufficient coverage to disguise redness.

I agree it looks like rosacea and that Soolantra (from your GP) will very likely get rid of it.

I Also think its Rosacea, had this myself the cream mentioned above its great!
I had a mix of Acne with my so had to have antibiotics and a steroid tablet, so your should clear up quickly as doesnt Look too bad.

I had this too and it come about during my pregnancy. Four years later and my face was still red. I went to the doctors and was prescribed rozex cream. I saw a huge difference within a week of using it. Fantastic stuff

Try using a really gentle face wash & moisturiser such as Cerave.
La Roche posay Toleraine range is also very good. I use the serum.
Add in azelaic acid before bed and stick with it for a few months. You should see a difference.
Lumecca Peak also really helped after I’d exhausted topical treatments.

Thanks all, I’ll see if I can get a GP appointment. It kind of just appeared from nowhere. It’s occasionally itchy but not awful.

Yes I use something called metrosa 0.75% gel from gp.

I'd say Rosacea too. Mine is a bit itchy but not too bad. I have suffered for a number of years but gp gave me rosex and then on top of that I no longer wash my face in the shower as the temperature aggrevates it, I've paired my skin routine right back and that has helped enormously, I use erase your face cloths and the aveeno basically, and I wear a scarf in the winter as temp change is a massive trigger dor me too.

Would you mind sharing the ways you reduced stress and what lifestyle interventions you implemented please?
Stress is a trigger for my rosacea so any help to avoid a flare up would be much appreciated. Thank you x
