Margaret Howell sample sale

One of these events is happening very close to me next week. Has anyone ever been to one, I’m not sure what to expect? If it’s a genuine sample sale I expect the sizing will be very small and therefore a bit useless for me. There used to be an outlet store in York but apparently it’s gone now so I wondered if it’s also going to be a genuinely good sale of general older stock. I only have one MH item which I love and is about ten years old so would be interested in going to the sale, just not sure if it might be a waste of time.

I have been to a few in London but not the last couple of years so not sure if anything changed.
But I have bought some items, although really precious things go ridiculously quickly ie her jackets.
yes prices are good, genuine sample items. I have a couple of skirts and shirts and the labels are hand written with the details, really satisfying actually.
sizes, yes that can be an issue on sample sales but here I would say many items tend to run a bit big. If you are after jackets also try the men ones, I actually never managed to get a jacket on my size (10) they were too big for me.

Thank you for replying, yes it’s the Harrogate one. I live about ten minutes away so it would be very easy to get to. My concern was that if it really is just sample stock it won’t fit and be rather demoralising. However if there’s a lot of pre season sale stuff it might be fruitful. It’s on for two days, how many true samples can there be?

Last time I went they also had past season items, it was a mix. I would say it is worth going, specially if you live so close.
