If you still wear jackets to work, where are you buying them from?

I really need one or two jackets for occasional meetings, but a bit stumped on where to buy.

I’ve seen lovely ones on Me + Em but they are very expensive 😬 - I don’t really want to spend a fortune, maybe £120 max (each).

Ideally something I can just wear with black trousers or black dress (boring, I know, but safe).

I love jackets from Joules but they are quite unique. I get a lot of workwear on ebay as I preferred it when things weren’t shapeless or so slouchy as they are now. Next tailoring used to be quite good and plenty on ebay!

Charity shops. All my work jackets are either vintage that I've owned for decades or charity shop purchases. The rise of casual wear in offices and working from home has really reduced the range of smart work clothes at reasonable prices, such as Next used to do. My office is casual but I do prefer to wear either business casual or proper business wear depending on what my day holds, but unless you have £££ to spare it's hard to find decent stuff new.

Mango has nice work stuff, including jackets.

My current blazers are from Hobbs, Reiss & Club Monaco. Vinted have lots of Hobbs blazers.

Thanks all, I’ll do some browsing this weekend! There are lots on Vinted and EBay too but worry about sizing.

My current blazers are from peacocks, h&m, New Look & George at asda. Im quite picky but have been really pleasantly surprised at the quality & fit of the ones Ive got (did have to send several back as I didn't like the fit or material so you do need tk choose carefully).

For that budget I would take a look at Sosander and Zara.

I am having the same problem op. I just got an ok one from Next. Also have a look at Nobody’s child.

I used to get Hobbs but don’t really feel like the fit is fashionable any more, the trend seems to be more towards oversized, looser fitting blazers.

i have an amazing one from Me&em from years ago and agree that they are gorgeous but so expensive now.

Reiss also gorgeous but £££

There’s loads of nice Reiss on Vinted! I might just have to take a punt on sizes.

Also agree on Hobbs, they aren’t the same as they used to be.

I work with landed estates/rural businesses etc so Joules jackets have been very popular in any office I’ve ever been in! One of the partners was wearing a nice pink one this week actually.
