Adverts for Quince clothing

Hi folks- keep seeing ads for quince clothing on fb.

i wondered if there were any reviews! Clothes/prices look too good to be true

Do they have a photo on their website of two women in front of a delightful shop painted in pastel colours but are moving premises soon so have to sell some stock off at a discount?

I think Quince is ultra reliable. They've been around a while in other countries. Lots of reviews on Instagram largely from Americans/Australians.

They are genuine, the podcast I listen to has been advertising them for years, they’ve recently expanded to the UK.

They are a real company, not a scam, but the quality is awful. It's the Shein of natural fibers.
If something looks too good to be true, it is. Yes, their cashmere is probably cashmere, but it is the shortest, thinnest hairs, so it will bobble like anything. I saw a video of a handbag maker who cuts up leather products (from the extremely expensive designer brands to high-street) cut up a pair of their leather shoes. The leather was actually a thin coat of leather over cardboard, and the worst kind of leather. They would have fallen to bits in no time.
A company doesn't just appear that suddenly changes the way business happens. Everything Quince claims to do (getting rid of the middle man, economies of scale) businesses are already doing. So something has to give, and with Quince, it's the quality.
You'd be throwing their money away.

That's really not true.
Their Cashmere is well rated by lots of individuals.
Especially the thicker items. The £50 cashmere is probably what you would expect.

@Cantonet, having seen the cashmere, I am afraid it is true. There are reasons why cashmere should be expensive (age of animal, where it is raised and the climate, which part of the fur is used, how often the fiber is taken from the animal, animal welfare). This is cheap, Chinese sourced cashmere, and it simply isn't good.
There is now a LOT of cheap, poor quality cashmere about (I also don't rate M&S cashmere or Cos cashmere, which is more expensive). Quince is slightly worse than those brands, and that doesn't make it good.
If you want a cashmere sweater that will lose its shape soon, bobble quickly, develop holes, and which you no longer love after one season, buy the Quince one.
I rate cashmere sweaters from Italian brands like Falconeri which source their cashmere from the same places as luxury brands like Loro Piana, but it's rather more expensive. But sweaters I bought from them several years ago still look exactly as they did the first time I wore them. That's worth the money to me.
Quince is Shein, but in natural fibers. I wouldn't touch it.

Oh well @Ruthietuthie there's the difference between us. I perfectly happily wear M&S Cashmere. It wears pretty well in my eyes. I wouldn't dream of spending hundreds of pounds on one piece of cashmere. Actually scotch that, I do have some expensive pieces I've had over the years. But I've read many Quince reviews and it's generally considered good value & good quality for money .
