I wish TF appeared in more FACs but they probably think they don't need the brand awareness.

Tried the Jones Road fragrances yesterday. Nice, good quality, good value, undistinguished, but Shower gave me a flashback to my mother wearing DVF Tatiana in the 70s. I was actually with her at the time and suggested that she try it 😀 but she declined, saying she already had a perfume (she wears Serge Lutens Fleur d’Oranger) and it would take too long to use up two perfumes 😀

Has anyone tried Neal’s Yard Petrichor? They discontinued the frankincense frag which has been my everyday for at least a decade and I feel obliged to give it a go but they’ve closed so many shops near me, will have to work out where to try it.

Also enjoying the new vyrao cherry scent, ever 11. I find vyrao hit and miss and the marketing (chakras! energy! manifest!) gets on my nerves a bit. But this is a decent cherry scent.

I like Ever 11 too. I've been trying to think what it reminds me of and I'm wondering if it's BDK Rouge Smoking. I find cherry very hit and miss but this is a decent one.

Rouge smoking is a bit sweeter. This reminds me more of cherry stem.

Or riuge smoking extrait maybe whuvh is deeper than original RS.

It could be but I remember not being that keen on Cherry Stem. I've only had a tiny sample of that and BDK in the past so I can't directly compare.

SOTE is CH La Bomba Intensa. It's not as sweet as the original. Has that lovely addictive dry down CH is famous for! I don't know if it tops very good girl or very good girl elixir but it's a lovely fruity scent quite suitable as a bedtime scent.

I smell like Symphony. It's really my favourite right now- it's beautiful

I think I like 3 groups - or maybe 2?

1. Citrus / fresh/
2. Green tea / green fig / white floral / pear (or is this the same as #1??)
3. Spicy smoky sandalwood maybe oud, ideally not too heavy on the masculine - almost unisex but verging feminine. Totally different from the first 2!

Miller Harris oud eclat, which is a bit like initio oud for greatness. It's truly a very light oud as the name suggests I doubt it has any actual oud in it, it's 'oud reminiscent'. I can struggle with intense oud, find it best in a supporting role.

@Fillybuster I'd say that is 3 groups. Although you may find, as I have, that your nose changes over time as you explore new scent avenues.

I went for Fugazzi purple today and I’m liking it more than I remembered.

Quite sweet but bearable…

I wanted to try the neals yard ones. I do love the idea of petrichor- will report back if I do. They discontinued a lovely pure rose one as well.

Montale crazy in love again. Not sure I'm liking it as much as yesterday. Smelle quite sharp. Maybe I'm in the mood for sweetness.

I’m a bit of a hothouse orchid with scent, not great with sweet or iso heavy frags and it was so perfect. Really hoping Petrichor works as an alternative.
You’re right, it’s an excellent name, but I’ll manage my expectations, it seems hard to live up to 🤷🏻‍♀️

Scent of my morning - half a bottle of Orange Marmalade Jo Malone. I need some energy for my 50 minutes walk with the dog.

I will go for something denser and sweeter little later.

There's a new juliette has a gun out, purple trouble. Ideal name for me as purple is my favourite colour and.... I often find myself making trouble!

Tried the Zadig intense again, this is a sweet fairly heavy vanillary gourmand, nice and a bit comforting but I don't feel it's the right scent for today - office today, meetings, someting a bit lighter. Maybe Mojave Ghost absolu.

Feel in a bit of an advent calendar limbo now waiting for look fantastic fragrance to be sent, and there is no news of the Harvey Nichols fragrance probably due to the takeover, but I can't imagine they will all go to waste if already made up. It would be a crime against the perfume world.

Harvey Nicks left a lot of vendors unpaid - they may not want their products sold or included in such thing. I have no clue, just a thought. I miss them already.

I have no regret that I don't have fragrance advent ordered. Even ai rates harrods as 3 for me (out of 10). Selfridges maybe - not sure. I will keep an eye for Space NK and definitely for Liberty scent kit in December (I think?). I am actually happy i didn't buy beauty advent for the sake of it either - I know what I want and non of hte perfume or beauty had it so far. I am treating myself with my perfume wishlist and instead of getting 10 or 20 I don't want I am going to get few I do - next on the list Tom Forge figue erotique

I loved getting advents upto now, but I think after 3 years of sniffing and collection close to 100 including the travel sizes - looks ok can not be entry. I need to really want something.

but as you know, I can get lured by the hype :)

Lola at Coat Check today. I’m using up the last of a Fresh grapefruit body lotion and they seem to work well together.
does anyone else try not to have a clash between lotion and perfume?

Prada Infusions for me this week. Yesterday's was de Rhubarbe and today d'Ylang. I like both these but not enough to repurchase. The rhubarb is my favourite, light and fresh, but is quite fleeting. I don't think I properly know what ylang ylang smells like but I have to say that this smells a bit old ladyish on me. I often like so-called old lady perfumes, e.g. Chypre Sublime is pretty much the only Floral Street I like (and why is it never in edits, only the lemon washing up liquid one or the so-weak-I-can't-smell-it almond blossom?)

Last night I also sampled Huda Beauty Easybake intense and Creed Aventus for Her (Cult Beauty 5 for £5 samples.) Both ok in different ways but far from loves. The sleeve for the Aventus says"Sample not for sale" so how come Cult charged me for it?

I love Infusion D'ylang - it's a realistic yellow flower scent reminds me a bit of lust for paradise.

It's stunning. I don't know that I would actually want to buy it but it is beautiful. If I manage a year where I buy zero other BACs or FACs maybe I'd get something like this. Low probability of this happening. 😄
