Laptop backpack recommendations

I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a backpack which has a decently padded laptop section please? Under £50 preferably, and it needs to be available in navy blue.

This is for DS going into Y7 and he will
have a laptop so I’m a bit concerned about the bag being tossed about and dropped on the ground so I’d like a laptop section with decent padding. DS has Dyspraxia and is prone to being clumsy so telling him to be careful is not as simple as it sounds.

It also needs to have sufficient space for other school stuff like books and water bottle etc.

Not sure about the actual bag - but I would look for a tough/hardwearing laptop case which sits inside the bag
my DS managed to crack his Chromebook when it was in a pretty solid school issue bag but just a soft actual case

he now has a hardshell case (about £20-25 on Amazon) which is inside the bag - I think this is a good additional option on top of finding a school bag

I would initially recommend an Osprey backpack as I have an excellent padded one for work, but can’t find one in the sale in navy at your price point (I did not pay full price!)

The Samsonite GUARDIT 3.0-14.1" Laptop backpack, 17.5L, Blue came up while I was searching though and seemed to have good reviews. It’s just over £50 on Amazon currently and looks like it has a padded inside.

If you are concerned about damage though, as another poster said I would get a laptop sleeve as well.

I was given a Matein one by my new employer and it's great. Masses of room and pockets for organisation. You can get them on Amazon and they are pretty cheap.

DS has a North Face one which has lasted him from year 7 - he's now going into year 13. More expensive (his was on sale), but can't fault the longevity.
