Jeans Holy Grail recommendations please!

As we go into autumn, I'm thinking of treating myself to some new jeans. What I have in mind is wide leg, high waist, dark wash so I can dress them up or down. Good quality fabric, not thin flappy stuff, because autumn. And importantly for my middle-aged spread, plenty of stretch!

At the moment I keep seeing Ninepine on my Facebook - are they a real company? I'm very wary of retailers advertised on social media after reading so many cautionary tales. But any other recommendations would also be great, I have no particular preference.

Also I'm hoping nobody is going to tell me that wide legs are out of fashion and we should all be wearing MC Hammers or something?

I got some Paige jeans from Anthropologie which are SO flattering but more than I’ve ever spent on a pair before. I just had to have them.

I like Levis Ribcage Wide Leg jeans - expensive but fit well and look great on

I think you have to try on jeans from everywhere op to find “your fit” - my fit is Zara - I know my size and they will fit me like a glove and be flattering, almost without fail. I buy the ZW range (slightly pricier but better quality). Recently tried some Levi’s and desigual expensive ones and although they “fit” they weren’t flattering at all.

Dont buy online, have a day at the shops and try all sorts of different ones.
