90’s Dance Festival- what would you wear at 55?

It’s going to be a long day of DJ House music with variable weather!

I don’t want to look like a middle aged woman trying too hard. If you’re my age - what would you wear and how would you do your hair? (Longer and shorter options welcome as I’m seeing my hairdresser before then and open to a change!)

I'd probably go a bit All Saints with cargo pants, a vest, layered chin-length bob with zig zag parting, glitter eyeshadow and trainers. I am not pretty when I get hot so if I'm dancing for hours, I want to be comfortable and keep it simple!

Pretty much what I'd have worn 30 years ago. Something glam I can dance in. Skinny top, small skirt, heeled but comfortable sandals or smart trainers.

Baggy jeans and long blonde hair .. and not a care in the world 🤣

This sounds like the look I was toying with- not sure I can carry off a vest top the way I could back in the day tho. Any recommendations for a top

H&M are usually good for oversized band t-shirts and they have a Primal Scream one on their site.

They also have a fitted (which would work better if going for baggy cargos) tee that looks like two layers. I remember that kind of look being massive back then so you could always wear a vest over a tee, or a tee over a long sleeve.

Long satin skirt with lace and oversized band T and Dr martens and a bandana in hair however u fancy it would still fit the vibe 😉
