Morning all,
Thinking about my autumn wardrobe now that summer is (hopefully!) almost over. After years of being unconfident about how I look, and thinking I looked rubbish in everything, I finally found that in autumn/winter, I feel good in short-ish (just above the knee) dresses, thick tights, and boots. Bought loads, from cheap to expensive, but I have a problem. The dresses are forever sticking to my tights and riding up. I know some materials make this more likely, but can't afford to replace everything in one go, so I'm hoping there's some solutions. I've tried hairspray on the tights. I've tried hand cream rubbed over my legs, both under and over the tights. When I go to work, I wear a backpack. Could this be dragging the dresses upwards? I probably wear it a bit low.
As well as solutions, any recommendations for what fabrics I should be looking to buy in the future? Or any particular type/brand of tights? I don't think it's particularly relevant for this, but I'm a 5ft6 size 14, if that affects anything. I'm just desperate to not have a tap on my shoulder on the school run, and a kindly mum saying "umm, excuse me, just so you're aware..."
