Best jeans for rectangle body

I’m looking for a jeans that suit a rectangle body shape. There isn’t much difference between my waist and hip measurements and I would love a pair of jeans that fit bum /hips nicely but not tight on the waist.

I want mid rise and I like wide leg (not too wide tho) or the barrel/carrot (but not overly so)

I am 55 so something that looks good on

I am this shape. Slim cut straight legs look like quite wide legs on me, because I have size 10 hip measurement and a size 14 waist measurement. I got a pair of barrel leg culottes from Cos in the sale , and, because they have a pull on waist, went down a size to a 12, they look great. Wide legs in a size 14 are hopelessly billowy.

So I buy slim cut straight legs, current jeans are straight leg And/Or from John Lewis, also on sale (cheapskate here).
