I’ve got this ladybird dress, and the neckline is so low, what would you team it with ?

Thinking cami vest but what colour ? And would you get a round neck cami or v neck to try and follow the neckline ?

or would you try anything else ?

I had a similar problem with a dress OP and fixed it by hand sewing a triangular piece of material on to the v neck. I am crap at sewing but it's been through the wash many times and is still fine.

Best bit about it? The lovely edging is down to the fact I cut up a pair of knickers to do it 😆 You could easily do the same with a cream or red pair!

Cream black or red, I doubt you’d find the right green. I don’t think hijab magnets or safety pins would work for this unless the dress is way too big for you, there’s not enough fabric.

I'd sew in a broad band of ribbon or lace in a colour as close to the green of the dress as possible.

Closing up the front (or addition additional fabric) and or wearing a different bra would be a nicer than a camisole, I agree. IF those solutions provide enough coverage and are worth the the investment in OP‘s opinion.

But a camisole in a good colour and nice material would work with that kind of dress as well… I don’t think it would jar with the dress tbh.

Does that dress have pockets? Asking because I desperately want to justify buying it!

Why would you spend £118 on a dress that doesn't fit and you don't feel comfortable in?

A camisole or modesty panel will spoil it make it frumpy IMO.

Either return it or if you can't, slip stitch the neckline to make the V less deep.

I really like the dress, you could just sew a button on it or wear a vest under it.

When I was pregnant, I had some fabric things that you could wear over undone jeans to accommodate your bump. They sound like the modesty panel people are talking about. I use them now for this purpose!

I often wear a (white or black) bandeau bralette which works well, just have a straight bit of it showing at the v’s lowest point.

This is very clever but an FYI that my first thought on seeing this particular trim was that you have a pair of knickers tucked in to your top! So if you know you know. Lots of people - blokes or women that don’t wear knickers like that will prob be none the wiser though 🤣
