lovely mumsnetters I need help!
Please recommend me some jeans that will look ok with ankle boots, I’m thinking slightly cropped so they don’t get wet when the weather turns.

it’s my birthday coming up and dm and do are treating me to something new to wear. Haven’t had any new clothes in ages so I’m a bit out of touch with clothes shopping .I’m thinking practical at the moment, ankle boots or short welly type boots and jeans for the coming autumn winter. I will be out and about on public transport/ on foot so I think it’s my best bet.

i will probably be going to the Trafford centre but could order online.
im 5 ft 2 size 10.

Honestly - my advice would be, rather than prescribing what you think you want, take an open minded wander around some fashionable shops (better online but you can follow up in person) and see what appeals to you. Allow the possibility that you might actually find some culottes, or a maxi skirt, or a midi dress, or some almost floor scraping wool flannel trousers that you absolutely fall in love with.

are both tremendously helpful in giving one an idea of what looks up to date - and where to buy things across a wide range of prices.

Have a look at M&S jeans in petite sizes; the Eva boot cut are great. Very affordable. I recently tried some jeans at the White Company that were straight legged and incredibly comfortable. About £100 though so I decided to wait.
