Make up /carry on bag

So had a text from Jet2 this morning saying baggage belt issue at Birmingham airport & if flying tomorrow they strongly advise to check in hold luggage tonight, as if you’re checking suitcases in tomorrow it carries a risk of them not flying with you. We’re unable to do this tonight so I’m thinking of putting my make up in my carry on bag, along with my vapes, I usually put make up in suitcase but I’m not risking losing it! Would I get away with my vapes (2ml each refill x 10) and foundation which is 30ml that’s the only liquid, but then mascara & lips stick, only have a couple of those. The rest is just powder. I’ve looked on the airport website & from what I can understand I should be ok & from what I can gather I don’t need to put liquids in clear bags now? Talk about stress!!

Yep that's fine, I travel with makeup in carry on regularly. Can you fit a change of clothes in there too?

@MsBubbles85 hope so! I can’t afford to replace my make up or buy any more after security if you know what I mean.
@FullOfMomsense i can probably squeeze change of underwear, top & leggings.
its just an added worry that I could’ve done without, where as DH isn’t at all worried & is like ‘so what, if we don’t have our suitcases, you only need shorts & a t-shirt anyway’ 🙄

Not the same airport, but Gatwick has the same as Birmingham airport and I have gone past security with all my make up, bottles of water (500ml) and soft drinks without any problem

Yeah, that sounds fine. You are allowed up to 1 litre of liquids in total, divided into max 100ml bottles/containers. It doesn't sound like any of your makeup exceeds a 30ml bottle/container, or that you exceed the total max amount of 1 litre liquids.
