Total novice here! Where can I find stick-on nails for short, wide nail beds?

I am a lifelong chronic nail biter. I'm tempted to buy some stick-on nails to see if that might break the cycle.

Trouble is, my nails are a really weird shape - wider than they are long. I have really short nail beds, and in fact they look like most people's nails rotated 90 degrees! (they look less like a tower and more like a boat, if that helps visualise)

So my question is, where can I buy stick-on or click-on nails that cater for very short but wide nail beds?

I am such a novice here, I really need some help!

Try semi cured get wraps, they come in a variety of sizes and you file them to the length of your nail. Unless of course you wanted to add length, which these are not suitable for.

Im not sure what your budget is but you might want to consider a nail tech to help you - with Biab (builder gel). They can put the plain gel on it’s more natural colour and every three weeks in fill it. I’ve seen lots of posts online about this for nail biters and after about 6 weeks your nails will have naturally grown and as the gel is thick you shouldn’t be able to bite them?

I don’t know about the stick ons so can’t help with that and I’m sorry if you absolutely don’t want advice about gels - it was just my first thought 😊

Thank you both. I've had a bit more of a look and I don't think wraps would work as there is so little nail length to work with. I'm also way too embarrassed to show my nails to a professional. It's not just the biting, it's the shape of my nails, they really do look silly.

I think I'm looking at click on nails, aren't I? Would they work with short wide nails?

That wide shape is just genetics, nothing to do with the biting. So don’t be embarrassed they’re just an inherited thing. I had a school friend with them.

It's a harmless genetic trait called Brachydactyly type D, or more colloquially Murder's thumb. Apparently Megan Fox has them.

Try something like Candy Claws, they’re press ons and they come in a range of sizes, they do an extra short length. I’m the opposite in that my nail beds are weirdly small and narrow and I struggle to find press ons that are small enough! If the standard ones don’t fit there are also sellers on Etsy where you measure your nails in mm and they give you custom sized ones. They’re about £12-15 a set, also recommend buying some separate brush on glue.
