Raincoat for dd

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 10:40

As we are having such a lovely summer, I need to find a raincoat for dd. She was wearing one from BHS yesterday that let all the rain in and rendered her completely soaked through.

She is 13mo, and very girlie - does anyone have any fabulous finds for me - that actually keep the rain out?

Have you thought of
M & S

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:10

The Kidorable ones are fab - really funky. DD1 has one and along with the wellies they are so cute.

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:13

The Kidorable website seems to be linking me to American sites to purchase? Where did you but yours pgwithnumber3?

Pestomonster - Hmmm, not sure about the colours on the M&S one, bit garish. Although clearly the most important thing is that she doesn't get wet!

You will get one on ebay. They are around £22 for the raincoat and £14 for the boots.

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 11:16

You might want to check in your local M & S though, because when I was in there last week they had a similar raincoat to the one I linked to, but it was a lilacy colour with a butterfly motif. Very cute!

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:16

Thanks pgwithnumber3 - but they only seeem to start at age 2-3.

Another good shop to try is H & M if you've got one of those near you.

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:18

Oooh yes - I love a rummage in H&M's kids dept - will definitely check there. The poor little thing was soaked to the skin after being caught on the way from playgroup to the car.

Farkin' weather!

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:21

Does anyone know how to do a link?

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:22

Thanks pgwithnumber3 - I've cut and pasted, but they are only from age 2 as far as I can see.

How old is she?

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:24

Right, she is 13 months, sorry, having a blonde day today!

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:25

I think the small ones are pretty small - is she big or small for her age?

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:25

Aw she's a teeny little thing. Can't think why, she eats like a pig!

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:26

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:28

Don't worry, cut and pasted - Ha ha - its weird because it says from 1-6yrs and then age 2-3. Which one does she have?

www.stylechild.co.uk/kidorable_1.html

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:31

Woohoo I can link BUT it won't take me to the actual page.

It is the lotus one. Pale pink and yellow, it does it from 12-18 months. 5 rows down on the right.

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:32

It does come with a removable hood.

Swedes · 27/06/2008 11:34

I've just bought this one from Joules for my pre-school DD

cazzybabs · 27/06/2008 11:34

I like the ones in www.tobytiger.co.uk/raincoats-wellies.html

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:34

Perfect - thanks pgwithnumber3 - hopefully it'll keep her nice and dry.
