Raincoat for dd

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 10:40

As we are having such a lovely summer, I need to find a raincoat for dd. She was wearing one from BHS yesterday that let all the rain in and rendered her completely soaked through.

She is 13mo, and very girlie - does anyone have any fabulous finds for me - that actually keep the rain out?

My daughter has the purple one of these sets:

The dungarees are really useful for the swings etc if it has been raining and the jacket is a lovely coat on its own.

They are on that website anyway and if you go on ebay you will find them also on there.

Maybe give them a call Pinkjenny. Pinkjenny do you live in Maghull? I think I remember you mentioning it on a thread. I am from Lydiate originally, mum still lives there, I live in Birkdale now.

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:50

Oh Lord pgwithnumber3 - yes I do live in Maghull! My parents live in Lydiate.

I have the similar wallpaper and had curtains made from the same fabric but from Laura Ashley in DD2's room.

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 11:51

How weird! How old are you? I am 33. My parents live in the road in Lydiate off Kenyons Lane.

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 11:54

I'm 31 - my mum and dad live in Withens Road, by Wynnstay, off Dodds Lane.

Oh how strange, they live around the corner. I bet we know each other! What a small world! Do you only have the one DD?

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 12:00

I just have the one at the moment, yes. She's lovely. What school did you go to?

pgwithnumber3 · 27/06/2008 12:05

I went to Maricourt, what about you? You would be 2 years below me wouldn't you?

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 12:09

Yes I started Deyes in 1988 and left in 1995.

We probably don't know each other then. Had a look at your profile, you are gorgeous and so is your DD!

Pinkjenny · 27/06/2008 12:46

I used to be gorgeous! Now I'm generally covered in snot with no time to do my hair! Agreed, dd is gorgeous though.

My best friend lives in Formby so I am often over your way. Let me know if you ever want to meet up!

Sorry only just replied, I have been at Costco and DD2 has been ill this afternoon.

You still are but I know what you mean, when you have children you barely have time to see to yourself. Once upon a time I used to blow my hair straight! Now it is left to my natural kink, I would have been mortified going out like that 10 years ago! You know what us scouse girls are like!

I would love to meet up, do you know Birkdale village at all?
