Can I wear a trouser suit to a high end wedding?

Following on from the lovely response from my post yesterday re my Reiss trousers can you advise on a winner wedding outfit. Can I wear a trouser suit or does it need to be a dress? I have 3 options ordered, I would wear the suit as styled with blouse and scarf. The event is in London and the event is very high end from what I can see .

Both the green dress and the trouser suit are great and very appropriate (with the trouser suit you'll need to style it weddingy rather than worky). Where are they from?

I wore a suit to a February wedding mine was coloured but still trousers and a jacket blouse combo, i was comfortable felt dressed i see them no different to a jumpsuit, i like the trouser suit and the green dress.

The green dress is here , I don’t think it does anything for me so I will sent it back. I will see what the other options are like and perhaps keep looking.

I'm wearing a Moderately Massive Skirt today, & regretting it somewhat as it's a very windy day here in Edinburgh - & I'm in great danger of flashing more than I'm comfortable with ... 😬!!

Agreed about the green dress. It looks quite mundane on. Such a shame. Please order a velvet tux - but not in funeral black.

The trouser suit is amazing but I think how it’s styled is what’s doing it for me 😀

Sorry only the green dress seems appropriate for a wedding. The other dress looks good for an office job and the trouser suit is too casual as well.

I wore a velvet trouser suit to a winter wedding last year and felt fabulous. We are now at the stage of attending friends children’s weddings too and don’t want to stand out but do still want to feel stylish.

The green dress looks very meh on me at best, I shared a picture yesterday.

I'm not sure they're dressy enough?
