GHD or Cloud Nine?

My old trusty GHDs have just broken after 10 years & I am so undecided on whether to just buy another pair of GHDs or get Cloud Nines. I’ve always liked my GHDs but seen so many glowing reviews for Cloud Nines… Any advice on which are better?!

My dd got cloud 9 and has been really impressed with them.

The last ghds dd had only lasted just over a year before dying.

Cloud nine all the way we have both in my house and the ghds are not as good

I have also heard good things
about the shark straighteners too

I have both and have to say cloud nine are my preference over the GHD’s.

My hairdresser uses Cloud Nines.

I’ve got cloud 9’s but miss my ghds

Cloud nine 100%. Last time my GHD’s broke (about 8 years ago now) I replaced them with GHD’s and they were bloody awful, snagged my hair constantly and took ages to straighten, complained and returned them and bought cloud nine which were (& still are years later!) amazing.

My hairdresser told me a few years ago that cloud nine are better and like the original GHDs were, because cloud nine was set up
by the original GHD founders

Another vote for Cloud 9
I have had both and prefer Cloud 9. I have the wide plate ones. They have also lasted me longer than the several pairs of ghds I've had over the years.

Cloud 9. Loved my GHDs at the time but my hair is in much better condition with the Cloud 9s.

Thanks for the recs everyone! Seems like Cloud Nine is the way to go…. Now to decide between the original iron or the touch (the touch seems to be quite a bit cheaper!)

Does anyone find their cloud nine’s get a sort of residue on them that you have to clean of with nail polish remover?

Update for anyone who cares… my cloud nine’s arrived this morning and first impressions I’m a little disappointed… they feel much ‘cheaper’ and less well made than my ghds and seem to pull my hair loads… my ghds felt way smoother going through my hair! My hair does look nice and healthy after straightening it but can’t help but miss my ghds a bit. Hopefully I get used to them soon and learn to love them :/

I’m genuinely curious as to why so many people prefer cloud nines over ghds. I’m really trying to love them but I just … Don’t…. I don’t understand the hype! I think I’ll have to return them
