Arm tightening cream … and Gatineau Miracle Eye Cream

I was on a flight the other week and two products really caught my eye in the in-flight magazine. I didn’t buy them (well, I tried to buy the eye cream but it had sold out) and I regret it!
There was a cream that tightens loose skin on your upper arms. I can’t remember the name or brand. Does anyone have such a thing and does it actually work? I’d love it if so, just to make me feel a bit more confident on holiday in October.
And what about the eye cream - any good?

Honestly? I’ve tried most of the skin tightening creams after losing weight including the insanely expensive ones (hello Murad @£89 a pot) but have seen no discernible improvement over a regular body cream. I now use palmers firming cream - although I do smell like chocolate buttons 😆. Gatineau is a great brand but applying a good body moisturiser, drinking plenty of water and undertaking a simple but regular strength training regime will yield a better result.

Eye creams - and I say this as someone who has had under eye bags since childhood so has tried all of the miracle eye creams 😉 - if the one you saw is something like the one which yields amazing results in photos (I think it’s called perfect eyes?) it does what is says on the tin but there is a visible residue left on the skin akin to the sort of shiny trail a snail leaves after moving (I had a friend use this years ago and she hadn’t noticed) but the minute makeup is applied over the top, the tightening effect is lost. However, Eye creams I do think that work are The Inkey list Caffeine eye Cream(very reasonably priced), NIOD fractionating eye serum (£££ but used sparingly), Strivectin Peptight under eye cream (£££ great in the evening but not great under makeup up). Personally a lot of the more expensive eye creams irritate my eyes and I can wake up looking like I have conjunctivitis (including great brands like Augustinius Bader) so get a sample if you can before committing.

Edited to say, now realised you meant the Gatineau eye cream. I’ve not tried it, but as per above, get a sample before committing. Remember a lot of the beauty experts on This Morning are sent freebies and are courted by big brands/retailers on luxury trips /events so follow the advice of someone who is really independent in their opinion or indeed the advice of those on here who have actually bought the products!

Don’t know about the tightening cream but I’m going to look that up for myself but the beauty woman from This Morning raves about the eye cream and how good it is. I’m sure she uses it as an all over face product.

I personally use Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Cream which is lovely but I still get Botox.

No problem. I’d love there to be a miracle arm cream but there really isn’t 😩. And age/lifestyle plays a big part in everything. I exercise (including strength training ) drink plenty of water and have always used a body moisturiser but despite many years of ‘research’ I’ve not found one that actually is a miracle cure but I’m now in my 50’s. It’s easy to see a difference if you have never moisturised and are decades younger. I’ve also tried HIFU on upper arms /crepey tummy and that was also time and money wasted 😂

Whilst they can improve the appearance of fine lines for sure, Eye creams can’t deal with genetics either - I have festoons under my eyes since childhood. Only surgery is likely to improve this, but I’d rather have more shoes and handbags 😂

The arm cream is Prai. I bought it! I haven't used it yet.

Despite using body lotion every single day since I was 16 my arms have this awful wrinkly skin. I just thought I'd give it a go but not holding out much hope!

Ive got the gatineau eye cream & it is really good. Worth the price

I have the eye cream and it definitely improves the look under my eyes. It changes colour to match your skin. I also suffer from a red nose so I use it on my nose too.

I do rate the prai neck creams although again I think surgery or lasers are probably the only solution to my turkey neck 😆

I like the Gatineau eye cream too, definitely worth trying and you only need a tiny bit. I think QVC had it on offer.

I use the Gatineau Miracle eye cream and it does a really good job of covering dark circles. I use a peach colour corrector underneath which works well.

get into qvc. they have gatineau prai and more.
try for 60 days and if you hate it just return whats left for a full refund.
you just pay postage both ways. whats not to like.

the miracle eye type things are great but the minute you crack the film by smiling and creasing your eyes….its game over.

i believe the miracle ingredient in some of them is albumin. ie egg white. ive been wanting to try cracking an egg and smearing some on and saving myself some cash to see if it works raw, but haven’t gotten round to it yet. probably just as well lol. 🐝 🐝 🐝

I love that eyecream - I stock up when I am on the plane, it’s tinted and you can actually use it all over your face and only need a dab.

Ive tried most of the arm firming creams too but using them every day became very expensive and I think you need to after a certain age to see any results.

I recently switched to Jojoba oil with Nivea body lotion on top and am seeing a slight improvement - and both are cheap enough to be able to slather it on daily.

The main benefit of the Prai ageless arms is to remind you to do that particular area. If you are already using lotion all over, I’m not sure it will do anything special!

most eye creams that tighten have a cinderella effect don't they, they work when on but it is not a permanent change.
RMN worked on SILs arms after she lost 13 stone, it was painful thou, she said and cost about £1500 all in.

I don’t believe any of these creams work, they are after your money and feeding on women’s feelings of insecurity. If you use any moisturiser every day your skin will appear better but lifting some weights and yoga/pilates will help you from the inside out much better for your health.

sorry Op but you can’t really believe a cream can tighten loose arm skin enough that you would see an effect.
Do you exercise ? Boxercise or similar would have a huge impact.
