We’re gonna need more information, OP! Otherwise, each of us will just pick the colour we prefer.

what sort of clothes/colours do they wear: Do they favour blacks, neutrals, bright colours?

Winterbelle1 · 04/08/2026 20:25

They like more black and neutral colors. I was thinking a green colour?

Well, if they prefer neutral colours, I would steer clear of the reds and pinks.

I think all black is very limiting, as it doesn’t look as good with non-black outfits… So you could be onto something with the green! Have you decided on a shade of green?

The olive green is nice and still
fairly neutral. What’s lovely gift.

I saw one called sage which looked nice more muted

I have one in the ‘paper’ colour. It was a gift from a friend last Christmas and I like it but I’ve never used it. I imagine it’ll look grubby very quickly.

First decision is classic brown leather or the other colour. I prefer brown leather.

Second, they are very hardworking bags so don’t get a pale colour that will show the dirt.

I think a red bag is neutral, so would go dark red/brown leather, or stick with black with brown leather. Or the olive green top left. Or burgundy/burgundy looks smart.

I’d stick to black with brown trimmings.

Crojo · 04/08/2026 21:02

I would go for black with brown leather for myself

I have loads of these. I have four over the shoulder ones in red, white, navy and purple. I like the navy best but always use the red so I can save the navy for best 😂 I also have the dark purple backpack which I use a lot and a tan laptop bag which I never take outside.

I have a navy one and been all over the world with it. They are great for travelling. I've been trekking with it and to fancy restaurants with it (after a wipe down).

My DD15 has the navy and she batters it and it looks amazing considering!

Could you give her a card with a hand made voucher in it, then look on line together and let her pick the colour herself.

It’s a lovely present but it’s so risky picking a colour for someone else. Someone suggested red as a neutral. It’s a lovely idea for a present but red would not be any use for me.
