What shampoo did you use as a child?

The one I use now.

Sunsilk, Vosene. I don’t remember conditioner until 1960! I tried Vitapointe, which was a leave in conditioner, it just made mine greasy.

Just remembered Salon Selectives!

Fine Fare Egg and Lemon shampoo for me.

Vosene and then Woodleigh Green Apple Shampoo came out and it was a revelation!

though I've only ever used the original. Mind you, the original is not the same as it used to be, it was reformulated due to some of original ingredients being discovered to be carcinogenic.

Vosene as a kid and salon selective as as a teen, also used their mousse on my perm, it would go all crispy and I thought I was the bees knees😏

Wash and go. I don't even know if it still exists. Used Timotei a bit later. Klorane when we could get it, would stock up when we went to France, used Pantene for years after.

The expensive one my mother got from the hairdressers, it smelled like coconuts and perfume. She never bought kids shampoo of any kind, it was always the fancy one. She was not impressed when I made potions…

I used herbal essences or vosene!

Once mum got a big bottle of Pantene for Christmas which was a real treat.

Now my mum uses Elemis and dd1 uses Percy Reed 🤦🏼‍♀️ I use OGX and dd with the best hair uses some purple L’Oréal stuff. Ds uses child’s farm and dh some sort 2 in 1 vibe

The L’Oréal kids no more tears, for a little bit the tar shampoo (doctor prescribed as had really dry scalp - it stung like anything if it accidentally got in eyes 🥹) and Alberto Balsam.

Worked though, never had nits, just had a whiff of rotten eggs for about a week after.

Have a feeling we might have nagged my mum for this one, and Flex (blue bumpy bottle?!).
When I had some birthday/pocket money I’d buy the banana shampoo and conditioner, or chamomile shampoo, from The Body Shop (to match my fuzzy peach perfume and dewberry shower gel😂).

Silverkrin.or something that sounded like it.
