SeditiousPam · 04/08/2026 15:47

Oh, is this one of those triangulation threads?

Don’t tell ‘im, Pike!

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 04/08/2026 15:48

Timotei and Neutrogena, then Wella Experience as a
teen

Moveoverdarlin · 04/08/2026 15:48

Timotei shampoo and Flex conditioner.

Needmorelego · 04/08/2026 15:48

I don't know what shampoo but my mum used an Avon conditioner on our hair.
It was pink and came in giant bottles.
We (me and my sister) never got nits as a child 😂

Nitgel · 04/08/2026 15:50

Blue medicated shampoo from sainsburys 😁

maslinpan · 04/08/2026 15:51

No more tears when I was very young. It had a lovely smell.

Jerrybalanitis · 04/08/2026 15:54

Linco beer, we all used it for some reason. Then salin selective. I still miss that. Strong smell and bubble gum pink..

Laiste · 04/08/2026 15:55

Vosene as a kid.
Then when i could buy my own i had the Vidal Sassoon shampoo and cond. in the brown and grey/brown bottles which smelt DIVINE. I'd chop my arm off to have that again!

Also sometimes i'd buy the Flex shampoo and cond. Thick yellow stuff which once again smelt gorgeous!

How lucky we were back then!

OnTheLizzieLine · 04/08/2026 15:56

Timotei shampoo and Silkience conditioner.

Wash n Go for a while when it was new and revolutionary!

Blanketyblank04 · 04/08/2026 15:58

Timotei and Alberto Balsam.

SilenceInside · 04/08/2026 16:00

Vosene when i was little, then Timotei when a bit older, then my own choice from a mail order company called Cosmetics to Go (precursor to Lush) as a teen, usually a shampoo bar - a lemon one that I can't remember what it was called.

TheDutchHouse · 04/08/2026 16:00

When I didn’t have choice it was vosene, the smell eek
But once I started to get Saturday job money it was lingo beer as that felt very adult lol

itsgettingweird · 04/08/2026 16:16

Vosene!

Nothing smells better!

GinGenie · 04/08/2026 16:23

Vosene, green triangular bottle. Can still smell it now. I have a bit of a pavlovs dog thing with it, when I think of the smell my eyes start stinging 😂

I was about to type the exact same! And it stung if it got in your eyes…

vosene just used it lush

Seldomseen · 04/08/2026 17:06

One that was two different colours in the same bottle - orange and yellow - and you had to shake it to mix it before you used it. I think it was called 'Once'. Should have been called 'wince' given its eye-stinging properties.

Zimunya · 04/08/2026 17:07

Colgate apple shampoo. The only choice available in the small African town I grew up in. I remember having a crisis of hair confidence when I moved to the UK in my twenties and went to buy shampoo - a whole aisle full of choices, which required me knowing whether my hair was oily or dry, whether or not I had split ends, which type of hair I had - Type 1 (Straight), Type 2 (Wavy), Type 3 (Curly), and Type 4 (Coily). So many decisions to make!!

Oh my God! Yessss! I can smell it right now. Loved it.

hexsnidgett · 04/08/2026 17:08

Sainsbury's own banana shampoo. Lovely.

Sesame2011 · 04/08/2026 17:11

Cant really remember but do remember begging to get the loreal kids shampoo after seeing adverts for them on the tv. Pretty sure I then rubbed it in my eyes to see if the "no more tears" thing was real.

MabelAnderson · 04/08/2026 17:11

Vidal Sassoon. Silvikrin, Alberto VO5 Red apple. (Creme Silk conditioner).
So many people miss the Vidal Sassoon, I wish they would bring it back.
