Monsoon fit

Gettingbysomehow · Today 10:47

Fed up with monsoon.
Im a size 10 and bought a lovely dress in the sale. Its fits perfectly everywhere but not the bust which flattens my boobs into nothing.
Im 34 c with minimal fried eggs.
I bought the size 12 and its like a marquee. Just hangs off.
Anything fitted from them is the same.
Yet another dress that will have to go to the tailor to be altered as I cant send it back.
Anyone else finding this?

I find most things in Monsoon size up large

I have come to the conclusion that Monsoon only fits ‘pear-shaped’ bodies.
A 10 dress on me would fit my hips perfectly but far too tight in the bust.
A 12 would be tight on the bust and too big at the hips.
A 14 fits my bust perfectly, but then the rest of the dress then looks like a tent.
IMO its always been like this as I remember trying on a dress from there back in 2004.

Yes very odd sizing. I’m exactly same as you with dresses. Enormous differential between 10 and 12. I also find their tops enormous. Pity as like some of the designs.

Just to add I’m a bust 34 F and my hips and bust measure similar. Hips a bit smaller.

I bought a dress from there recently which the 12 fitted me but was a bit tight and the 14 was looser but did fit better. I kept the 14.

This sounds like Laura Ashley till they started to make their stuff even more narrow up top

Used to love their stuff because I was a flat chested pear shape
