Why does Vinted do this??

I look for a pair of flowery shorts*, find and buy them

now my feed is full of flowery shorts - in a “look what you could have won!” gallery

Why can’t they tweak the algorithm so it takes into account what I’ve actually bought? Maybe then add things that would go with what I’ve bought (tops, sandals etc) if it wants me to spend more?

I think you can go on your settings and remove the search so less of it shows up.

I recently had a stokke baby chair to sell. I looked up the price of other stokke baby chairs to see what they go for, then listed mine, and then sold it. For weeks after I kept getting stokke baby chairs in my feed. But I'd just sold mine!

It's not just Vinted. If I buy anything online I get ads for it for weeks afterwards. The first software engineer who works out how to stop doing this and start advertising complementary items will make a fortune.
