doreen triumph bra

I have been wearing soft bralettes for comfort (don't like underwires). I'd like a bit more structure and shape (perimenopausal and my boobs are bigger). I'm thinking of the doreen bra but I will have to order online and can't work out the sizing - also is it right the original and the cotton versions are slightly different in size and effect?

Gosh! My mum wears triumph Doreen. Is there a shop you can go for a fitting?

I live in the middle of nowhere and went to an old style department store which had them but none of them were anywhere near my size. Does your mum like hers?

Doreen is great. I wore them for years under my uniform. It gives you a fifties pointy bust and the support is very good. I dont know how this bra gives such great lift without wires but they do. My boobs were round my ears. Its comfortable too.
I cant wear them anymore as after a 6 stone weight loss I have sad fried eggs and Doreen doesnt really work on a small bust.
Triumph comes up small so its a good idea to go to a shop and try some on if possible.

The original is best. The cotton ones give nowhere near the same lift and shape.
If you have to order online you may need a bigger band size.

great, I will see if I can order a few or if I can get to a store with a bigger selection of sizes. The cotton one looks less textured so I had hoped it wouldn't be so visible through clothes but I think I will try the original.
I am tired of saggy bralettes (I tried on some wedding guest dresses and my current underwear didn't work) so will see how I get on with the doreen lift.

They're bloody brilliant. I'm a 34H and they give me a great shape. No wires, and really very comfortable. I'm 46 and relatively trendy btw 😁

I am shortwaisted so I think the lift will help with my shape (am also not a great fan of the more contemporary rounded boob look anyway)

Have a look on Amazon as they often have the Doreen at much cheaper prices than anywhere else and they’re easy to return too.

OP, I wonder whether you could make an appointment with Rigby and Peller to be measured properly.

It could be a good investment, especially if recent changes mean a change in cup size.

I bought a Delicate Doreen on Amazon £18.
It is a prettier version of the original, but very supportive. The sizing is accurate imo.

Yes. I am a 34g. It does lift and support.
The delicate refers to the lace. It is very well made.

I have the Triumph Doreen and did like the shape and support, but I seemed to be allergic to the trim. When I wore mine, my boobs itched all day and there were red wheals on my skin when I removed it. The situation didn't improve after multiple washes, so eventually I gave it to a charity shop!

When I worked at Harways a family owned shop in norwich it was our best seller

So my bras have arrived and I fit well in a size up. I think the look under clothes is good though different to what I am used to (and the way the cups come up quite high means I wouldn't be able to wear anything particularly low cut which is OK for me). I'm surprised how comfortable it is. I have seen there's a "Doreen X" version too but not sure whether that is much different (perhaps less embroidery?). Has anyone tried that one?
I tried the cotton one and as warned it didn't give quite the same lift.
