Botox/ fillers/ tweakments- where to start?

If you’ve had fillers, Botox, or similar, how do you know what to get and where? Does the nurse recommend it?

I am nearing 40 and want to look more youthful.

Always go with a nurse or doctor led clinic for starters. They have detailed knowledge of facial anatomy.
if you talk to them about what areas are bothering you they will recommend treatments. A good one will also advise against anything you may suggest that isn’t right for you.

i just get my 11’s done and that’s enough for me. I would have an idea what you want before you go. I knew that was the area I had an issue with, the first guy (dr) covered my face in white pencil and highlighted all my problem areas (apparently!) I did not go with him as he didn’t listen to what I wanted and I wasn’t comfortable

First, find a reputable clinic with nurse practitioners who have good reviews and don’t do any questionable treatments such as thread lifts or lemon bottle etc.

Then, have a think about what it is that is bothering you and book in for a consultation. A good aesthetician will ask you what you are hoping to achieve/what your areas of concern are. Then, they will tell you what they think you need.

I had just turned 40 and had lost a lot of weight. I had Botox (three areas) and some cheek filler. I asked for tear trough filler and was told “no”, as I didn’t need it.

Since then, I’ve had some micro needling and continued with the Botox. I’ll have my filler re done in about six months time.

You can also start light - just pinpoint the exact wrinkles that bother you and stick to that
I’ve stuck to my ‘Elevenses’ throughout my 40s as they made me look anxious (some practitioners tried to say I needed at least 2 areas but I found one that didn’t)
As I’m nearing 50 I may increase eventually
