Is this dress too lairy for Ronnie Scott’s jazz club? See pic (I know, it needs ironing). Am going this summer so want something cool. I rarely wear black.

That sounds perfect @ForNoisyCat - I do hope I didn’t come across as sneery, I have been a few times and wanted you to know what I’d worn rather than say ‘don’t wear that dress’ - I think you’ll be glad you dressed up, evenings are different to Sunday lunch too at Ronnie Scotts.

i guess it is retro. I bought it from Joe Browns some years ago. They sell a lot of unusual and quirky clothes.
