Anyone do their own Microneedling?

I’m really keen to give Microneedling a try but it seems to be a long term commitment. I can’t really afford to go to the salon every 6 weeks so wondered if anyone had tried one of the at home devices successfully? is it a huge afford is there one that is fairly straightforward and works? Thanks!

I use Swiss Clinics one and think that’s really good. Get their serum too as most others stings afterwards. I do it 5 consecutive evenings every other week just whilst watching TV then 2-3 days after I exfoliate as it roughens up the skin.

I had it done professionally a couple years ago and liked the results. I've recently been using this once per week and feel like my results are just as good.

I bought a microneedle roller a few years ago but not been brave enough to use it!

Just general clarity and a bit more glow, maybe a bit more plumpness.

@Freyarw As well as the professional? I'm certainly not going anywhere near as deep as they do, but I think it has a real effect.

I have regularly used a Derminator (awful brand name) for 10y, it’s not a manual roller but a machine, you use cartridges with needles (1, 6 or 12 needles), 3 speeds, and you can choose the depth from 0.25 to 2mm. From stretch marks to crepey skin to wrinkles, i have used it pretty much everywhere on my body/face. Sessions are unpleasant, you need to disinfect, it works slowly (needs time to see results) but surely.

I don’t know what your goals are but I bought last month a RF home machine for wrinkles and skin tightening, and I must say it was easier, with better and faster results than dermarolling.

Which of home rf machine did you get?

I buy the manual ones from Amazon (0.5mm) and do my face about once a fortnight.

I’m also on a mission to thicken up my eyebrows, so I microneedle them daily before applying minoxidil.

Wowzers, have just seen the freyara machine is £400! Does look good though and I suppose RF treatments in the salon are also pricey.

Would there be a risk of fat loss in the face from using this?

It comes with 2 RF attachments, a small one for the face, a bigger one for the body.
The user guide is very clear that you cannot use the bigger attachment on your face or there is a risk of fat loss indeed.

I bought the Teresa Tarmey set linked above. it’s a good starter dermaroller. It comes with 12 ampoules of serum to use once per week for 12 weeks. You can’t buy the serum individually and the dermaroller is still fine to use after 12 uses.
chat gpt told me using the cosrx 6 peptide serum would be a good substitute.
