Joanna Hope have lovely dresses. From what I have seen at Race days flats are best ,with this heat sandals would be fine .Ah I wasn't concentrating was I? You have plenty of dresses which one would you like to wear? I will check up what your decision was. Enjoy the event.

Re footwear I suggest you don’t wear suede, as you may have to walk on grass in the car park or around the grandstand and paddock etc and if (I know it’s unlikely at the moment) there’s rain the wet grass will ruin suede shoes.
Flat shoes are absolutely fine - you might be walking around a bit going to see the horses in the paddock etc so it’s better to be comfy.
Re clothes, I think anything is fine. Lots of people wear jeans to the less formal race meetings - I always put slightly smarter clothes on as we were made to when going racing with our parents and I can’t undo this early training.
Maybe a cotton dress or skirt and top or smarter trousers?

Edited to add …have a great day out!
