Advice on simple funeral outfit for mid-August in west Scotland

Need advice on what to wear for my dads funeral, west scotland in mid august. Im 5ft size 14 dont do frills / fuss and want somthing dark but not black. I wear a uniform for work, have nothing on my wardobe as normally favour very casual reds, greens, purples and some black. Any ideas for simple dress/ jumpsuit and jacket plus shoes ,dont think my addias sambas or wedge sandles will cut it. I like.nobodies child, fat face with some zara and next normally. Brains a bit scrambled so help needed

I’m sorry for your loss. It is difficult to find the right degree of formality for these occasions. Had you considered a print on a black ground? My Mum used to wear something like that to funerals. I see Fatface have this one in your size in petit. It has sleeves so I hope it would be wearable without a jacket in August. As for shoes I would choose a black ballet flat from somewhere like M&S.

Thanks, yes i had looked at tgat one but a bit too unstructured and "old" for me. Black ballet pumos a possibility though

Sorry for your loss. It's a horrible time & looking for a suitable outfit is the last thing you want to be doing.
For my mum's funeral this time last year I ordered a dress from Next petite. I can't remember the range but they had a decent selection and I felt comfortable & smart on the day without being over the top. Luckily I had a pair of suitable black shoes kicking about.
