Shampoo bar - Ethique heali kiwi replacement

I'm looking for a replacement for Ethique's heali kiwi shampoo bar. They stopped shipping to the UK a while back and my stash has run out - I'm very sad!

There are loads of other shampoo bars out there but I'm looking for one that has the same calming effect on my scalp. Has anyone found a good replacement? I'll also take intel on bad replacements so I know what to avoid - bars take so long to get through I don't want to be stuck with a known dud if I can help it.

Try a company called gruum.... they do some really lovely hair and skincare. All the soaps smell really lovely

Thank you for the recommendation, those look lovely. Have to admit, is never occured to me that donkey milk is a thing, but I'm intrigued!
Can I ask which one you use?

Those look great too. Have you tried the scalp repair one?

@Evolutionarygoals not yet.... I'm a bit unsure about shampoo bars in case my scalp doesn't like them!! Post menopausal hair is difficult lol

suburburban · 21/07/2026 12:53

Yes I liked the gruum one

The donkey milk one. I tried Monoi for dry hair and it was a bit heavily for mine.
I also use the conditioner bar and love it.

Yeh, I know what you mean. I've previously bought some nice looking body soaps and found myself with a rash. There's clearly something in there that my skin didn't like, but I never remember to keep the packaging to compare with the ones that have been fine.

I'm also edging towards peri, so very aware things can change. I was much more cavalier with my skin in my youth!

I'm very tempted by the donkey milk one, mainly because it's donkey milk and I'm unreasonably amused by that 😁

@Evolutionarygoals weren't we all lol. I find a really good handmade lavender soap doesn't irritate my skin. Plus I smell good too 😁

I've had much more success with hand made from random market stalls on holiday than I have in actual shops - hard to rebuy though!

Hello! I realise I’m coming to this post late, but I’ve moved to Upcircle, which I’ve started using to replace Ethique Heali Kiwi. Actually, all the Upcircle products I’ve tried are great.

Ive pretty much moved over to Upcircle now, but have a stash of Heali Kiwi bars I could part with. 6 old style, and 4 newer style I bought in the states. Could put up on Vinted/Ebay or something if that’s something you’d be interested in??

My first mumsnet post - sorry if this isn’t allowed!
