I listened to the podcast when it came out, I knew there’d likely be backlash but I heard it as gallows humour, very much in keeping with the way that people share addiction stories in as/na/ca, or trauma stories or psychosis stories when in hospital or mental health support groups.

their experiences are not uncommon and perhaps hearing them talk about it on the podcast helped others to feel kinder towards themselves fo decisions they may have made when young or under pressure.
@ShouldIStaySelfIsolated it’s a nice enough bikini but nothing she wears is cheap, if hers is designer it will be this season an will be heavily copied by many far cheaper retailers. sure you can find very similar elsewhere

Useless bit of information but my best friend had an almost identical bikini in 1976, except the bottoms were a bit nicer. Everyone commented on it and asked where she bought it. The answer was a tiny little beach shop in West Wales.

I mean... it's not a very funny thing to joke about. But it's her body and she can joke about it if she wants. I get the impression it's less that she joked about abortions than that she had them in the first place, which I think puts you as an outlier in the 21st century.

BTW I think she's a horrid person but that's based on how she behaves towards underlings in her orbit, nothing to do with bodily choices.

It's genuinely amazing how many of you are looking at intrusive photos taken with a long lens camera of a woman just trying to enjoy a swim and judging her for the fact that her boobs aren't perfectly arranged. You might spare a thought for how your own bodies would look if your last holiday were to be broadcast to the world by a hidden photographer.

OP asked about where to find a bikini. You don't need to make it open season on the body of a woman just trying to live her life.

I think you’re reading far more into my comments than was intended. I’m allowed to have an opinion, just as you are, and disagreeing with someone doesn’t automatically make a person rude or entitled.
The discussion may have started with a bikini, but people often bring their wider views and values into conversations. If you disagree with my perspective, that’s absolutely fine, but there’s no need to attack me personally or decide what kind of person I am.
A respectful disagreement is possible without trying to silence someone.
