I’m a 18/20 5’4’ 50 year old but not frumpy. I need a dress for dinner in london for next weekend.

i could go up to £100 on a dress if it really was tge one.

i want dress to impress and be a little sexy.anybideas? 🙏 TIA

I’m struggling with heels atm due to a strain in my big toe so something with a little heel should be ok.

Is it a date? Of the two dresses you show - the first slightly suggests a financial transaction over dinner. The second is … cosplay 1950s. Do you not like contemporary clothes?

If you take a look at the NFD Outlet here, most of the dresses (filtered for size 20) would be fine for a summer dinner in London - or anywhere. (Obviously you could look at the full price dresses too.)

OP I love both the dresses you’ve posted and think they’re sexy rather frumpy or 50’s.

I also took your “but not frumpy” to refer to your large dress size rather than your age. If so, good on you! I always look best in clothes that hug my body, no matter what size or weight I am.

Frumpy was due to the some of the stuff I’d found when I was looking, larger sizes seem to mean lots of material and sack like. That makes me feel huge. Certainly not insulting people who are the same size and age as me.
