Shampoo & Conditioner recommendations

I have blonde balayaged hair, fairly bright champagne blonde, straight and shoulder length. It's very fine and I think it's quite thin but my hairdresser says I have a lot of hair, it's just very fine. I wash it every day.

Currently using John Frieda sheer blonde highlight activating S&C which although I like, I think I need better. Hairdresser suggested I needed a professional range but didn't go into specifics so I need help.

I'm after something to keep the colour bright and fresh, add shine as it's prone to dullness and stop frizziness and knottiness as it's also very prone to both.

People have recommended me colour wow products to me before, especially the dream coat but my hair does not get on with the dream coat, makes it go really flat and limp, enough so that people (mother!) have commented on it 🤣

I don't use any other products other than a bit of serum to brush the knots out when it's wet

Looked at Kerastase blond absolut, Redken acidic colour gloss and L'Oréal Vitamino but good god they're pricey, especially the first 2! And I might not even like them!

Any advice?

Kerastase is lovely. If you do splash out you'll find it lasts ages as you need about a third of what you squeeze into your hand normally.

I come and go from it depending on how my finances are and what else i've bought myself recently. Every time i go back to it i have to re train myself to use a small amount. With fine hair a bottle will last you 3 months ish. Washing most days.

Hi there! Ingredient-wise you can look up "cocamidopropyl betaine", chelating agents, & conditioning ingredients like "panthenol or hydrolyzed proteins". For shine/frizz, "dimethicone" would outperform plant oils because they seal the cuticle without weighing hair down. Hope this helps.

If your hair is bleached, do you use a bond repair, like olaplex??? My bleached hair is like silk with this and feels stronger. I have fine hair and find it gets weighed down with product. I don’t get along with colour wow either.

I use Coco and Eve. I had blonde dyed hair and it was so dry. The pro bond repair is excellent for putting moisture back into the hair. It’s quite pricey but lasts a good six months (I double shampoo three times a week).
I tried Redken and Olaplex; wasn’t that impressed.

Join Beauty Pie (share the cost with a friend) and buy their shampoo and conditioners. All are excellent, in my opinion. My hairdresser who I've visited for years commented ehat great condition my hair was in!
