Would you wear flashy watch?

I’ve recently been lucky enough to receive a beautiful Rolex watch as a gift. It’s a stainless steel and Everose gold model with a diamond-set bezel. I’d really love to wear it every day, but I feel if it might be a bit too flashy.

Part of me thinks that, realistically, most people wouldn’t even notice it, and those who do might assume it’s a replica anyway. On the other hand, whenever I wear it, it seems to catch the sunlight and sparkle so much that I feel as though it might attract attention.

Would you notice someone wearing a watch like this, and if you did, would you make any assumptions or judgments based on what watch other person wear?

Oh wear it op! Wear it and feel fabulous. Everything else I own is RI, Vinted, Shein etc. Mine is my tiny bit of secret luxury that people like me have no business at all to be wearing really 😂😂

I might notice a pretty watch. I wouldn't recognise it for what it is. If I did notice the branding, I'd probably assume it was fake, simply because who would go about life with that much cash on their wrist?

Personally, I'd rather wear a pretty, less expensive watch. I'd be worried about that one.

If you dont intend to wear it there is no point in keeping it. Sell it and downgrade to a £30 watch for the park and playdates.

Jewellery and watches are made to be worn.

Roughly how much would it be worth @black234?
That would have a baring on how often I wore it.

I have just googled Rolex Everose. They are about £45k!!!!!

I would definitely get it insured.
I would take a photo of it and maybe get a separate valuation from a jeweller as proof of value.

Like a pp I wouldn't notice what brand it was though.

@black234 , I have a gold and diamond Oyster my husband gave me for my 30th birthday over 30 years ago. I wear it daily and always have although I have a nice dress watch I take on most holidays or if I’m travelling into London. Wear it but be sensible.

I wear one everyday, it’s the most hard wearing watch I’ve owned. I don’t think it’s particularly unusual to own and wear one on a daily basis.
