Are wooden handle tote bags comfortable to carry on the shoulder?

I really like this bag

I'd want to carry it on my shoulder, and I wonder if the chunky wooden handle would hurt. Does anyone have this sort of bag and can you reasonable carry it on your shoulder?

No, sorry.

I feared that might be the case...

I had one in the 70s. Definitely no and slippery too.

It reminds me of a bag I used to have and loved, but that had a padded silk handle. I used it until it wore out, and I've been trying to find a replacement ever since. But this is not it, it seems.

Thanks for saving me some money.
