Do your DHs use any hair tools or products worth buying? Male haircare advice needed!

This is probably a random question!

I've been seeing loads of these "male grooming routine" videos on Instagram recently, where men seem to have a different brush, comb and different products depending on their hair type or goal.

It got me looking at my own DH, who literally just runs a £2 plastic comb through it in the morning and that's the extent of the routine.

It made me wonder whether there are actually any hair tools or products that make a noticeable difference, or whether Instagram has just convinced me every man needs the same amount of hair products a woman uses! It’s his birthday coming up so I thought it could be a good gift.

What do your DHs actually use? Different combs? Hairbrushes? Styling products? Anything that's genuinely made their hair look better or easier to manage?

Or any hairdressers out there who know what works best for men??

Mousse - which is odd as I always thought mousse was for putting on your hair before you dried it and he has never used a hairdryer. He's been using it for at least 30 years - probably more like 40 as I bet he started when he was an older teenager. It's getting harder to buy though so if he spots any he bulk buys it.

He has a brush like you'd use for a horse. He has very straight thick hair, his dad is 89 and is just starting to thin a little. So, in conclusion, if you have decent hair you can use any old shit on it - or not! So I'd say step away from social media as if any of this stuff worked then every man would have a full head of luxuriant hair. It's just marketing rubbish.
