Can anyone recommend knickers without elastic for sensitive skin?

I appear to have developed an allergy to elastic - every time I wear knickers with elastic around the leg holes and waist I get a rash and itch that drives me crazy. Can anyone recommend knickers which dont have any elastic!

TIA!

PS knickers must be cotton as modal makes me sweat.

I have some Speidel boyleg knickers where the elastic is totally enclosed, 100% cotton. German company but sell on Amazon. They are not very glamorous! I think Hermko do an encased waistband too. Also German, organic cotton, boilable etc. I always size up for comfort. At the other end of the scale I've got some silk jersey French knickers which are very comfy once you get used to the breeze!

I get this with elastic in bras too. It is a nightmare.

I'm similar but not too bad, the shorts style don't have elastic around the leg but so far I've not found any without it at the waist........except mens of course🙄 why do they make theirs with the elastic completely covered by the cotton but not ours!!😡

I've honestly been tempted to make my own. How hard can it be?

PS OP I'm also allergic to modal!

😂 got visions of the bloomers my granny used to wear with my sewing abilities, I'm old but not ready for that🤣

I even find the ones with 5% elastine make me itch, I did find 100% cotton shorts at Peacocks but you've given me an idea there @TeaAndStrumpets perhaps we could buy those and somehow cover the waistband with stretch cotton🤔

That's not a bad idea! I had a trusty bra which eventually wore through, exposing the elastic underband on the back, causing a rash. My emergency solution was to push a cotton hanky between it and me! Worked a treat...I kept meaning to make a proper repair but the hanky did a grand job 😉

Got round the problem for me.

Edit. Sorry OP, just read your ps about modal.

I wear womens boxer shorts for the same reason. John Lewis do them in cotton.

I wonder if its a latex allergy because that is what many underpant elastics are made from. I'd be looking up latex free pants. I've never tried this brand, but they came up from a google search:

That's what I'm doing at the moment for my knicker legs. They tend to move or fall off at the waist 😏

Yes if it weren't so darn hot a vest tucked in would help with the waist 😊 but only for granny pants, bikini there's no chance! It's really annoying.
