Sunglasses to look for on Vinted with a €50 budget or €150 new

I have had the same pair of ray bans for 8 years now. They have been great but ready for an update.

I want something that doesn't pull all my hair out when I put them on top of my head.

I have an oval shaped face. I bought some cheap amazon ones which I like.

If I bought them on vinted any brands you would look out for? I'd be worried they would be fake though.

Vinted budget - €50
New - €150 max

I bought some Chanel sunglasses from Vinted for around £50, I love them. I’ve had them for years now and they are great quality.

Thanks, how did you know they were real?

I’d recommend T K Maxx for sunglasses I’ve had several pairs of (originally) stonkingly expensive sunglasses for £20 ish. My fancier friends have commented on how nice (and expensive) they are. Like you I prefer a moulded bridge so they don’t pull my hair but then they need to fit properly as can’t be adjusted so it’s best to try them on.

Unless I particularly wanted one or two certain pairs of sunglasses, I wouldn't bother with Vinted for this- if they come and don't suit you, you'll be stuck with them or trying to resell.

As above, the majority of my sunnies come from TK maxx. If I wanted to invest up to £150 on a pair, I would go to an outlet centre and try on shed loads, then either purchase there or take the make and model to search for. I would also buy from eBay rather than Vinted for any designer brands, as it seems harder to be scammed on there.

@Secretseverywhere @anon2022anon I will TK Maxx a visit next time I am near one - the closest is about an hours drive away.

My ray bans have least a long time, before getting decent sunnies I lost them constantly but I haven't lost these.

I have had some rayban erikas for 7 years. I think they suit everyone and they are so light and comfortable to wear. My dd has some knock off ones from amazon which were cheap but have lasted well.

pontipinemum · 06/07/2026 14:06

@mcmuffin22 they are nice looking. The main reason I want new ones is that my aviators have nose pads and rip my hair. The erikas would sort that

I love Vinted, but I’d be worried sunglasses might have a scratch, affecting their ability to protect the eyes.

TKMaxx is ace.

I feel like I spend half my life with sunglasses on my head and they are very comfy.

I suppose I don’t really, but the other items that the seller had were normal clothing, and they had good feedback over many reviews. I would trust a seller with many good reviews to sort out an issue. I wouldn’t buy from someone just selling loads of designer products or with a new profile.
