Sandals for walking

Can anyone recommend some comfortable sandals for walking around on a UK holiday?
They need to be wide fit and not too ugly but comfort is the priority.
I usually wear my Birkenstocks but need a strap at the back.
Thanks.

Walking suggests hill walking - it won’t be that!

I have timberland sandals - I do have wide feet and a bunion too but they are easy to wear and very comfortable for walking. I did wear them with thick socks in the house to break them in initially but from the first walk outside they were great.

Are the £50 universal ones ok or better to upgrade?

The Universal slim are great -comfortable, but don't look too full-on walking sandal.

If you normally wear Birkies what about one of their styles with a backstrap
