Are Setting Sprays Useful?

I am going somewhere where I have to put my make on early. I don't want to have to have to drag foundation and a brush with me to re-do later.

Could a setting spray be my friend? Which one is best and will it leave me with a wet face and runny make up? Do you have to avoid spraying on made up eyes?

I'm a bit nervous about spraying "water" on my face when I've made it up.

Do you not use primer? You can use setting spray before you do your eyeliner and mascara.

I find my makeup has more longevity when I use primer and a setting spray. I'm on holiday at the moment and am using a rodial primer and a milk setting spray. It is 36 degrees here and my makeup hasn't budged since this morning.

I use it daily. I like Urban Decay but it’s not cheap. Day to day I use a Revolution or Nyx one that is for a dewy finish.

I am careful not to spray near my eyes as you can end up making them sting and watering.

A make up artist friend told me to put it on your brush for cream eyeshadow and under eye concealer.

If I need make up to last a long time, I’ll do base and brows, spray then spray again when I’ve finished.

You also need a good primer.

The Fenty setting spray is really good. Obviously close eyes when you spray.
