Anyone else thinks M&S shoes are now crap?

Just so disappointed with the quality ( and shocked at the price!) .They were my go to for shoes but I cannot belive how crap they have got. Trainers are fine ,but their sandal range is just awful. The leather looks and feels like plastic .Lots of wispy little sandals but nothing substantial and comfortable.

I agree and it is really dissapointing. I bought some flat mary-janes last year and they are horrible. I really should have returned them in hindsight.

I was thinking of buying their birkenstock dupes this summer but maybe not!

I bought a pair of M&S white canvas tennis shoes to replace a pair I’d had from H&M that I had worn to death. The M&S were so uncomfortable no cushioning at all I hardly wore them. I had a pair of leather sandals I liked 2 years ago but they only lasted one season

I love their suede square toe ballet shoes. I’ve wide feet and they are brilliant. As are their trainers. My pale yellow suede ones are my go to pair this summer. Other shoes are not wide and it’s disappointing although my sling back kitten heels are brilliant. It’s a case of being discerning. Loafers are nearly always great.

The sizing is extremely weird and I have to go down 2 sizes from my usual in other shops, but I've had a pair of leather fisherman's sandals and some red retro-style trainers from there this year, both of which I find comfortable and look good. I suppose I can't comment on how well they're going to last yet, though.

Yes, used to buy lovely soft leather, wide fit. Haven't bought any shoes from them in a couple of years now.
