My big fat flat feet

My flat feet are wide size 8 and my lower legs and ankles swell up. I have had foot and leg surgeries (bunions, achilles repair). I took photos, but the fikes are too to add.

I need orthotic supports to keep shins and knees aligned, and generally wear prescription compression socks.

Dressing in winter is easy; orthotics inside flat lace-ups or boots, trousers or long skirts. Summer is a nightmare. I'd like to let my legs out!

Does anyone know of orthotics to go in sandals, and of comfortable sandals to take them? (I have Teva walking sandals, but the ankle strap chafes as my legs swell. My last Hotter sandals are almost worn out.)

Really tricky. This isn’t from first hand experience I’m afraid but Fit flop and Dr Martens seem to have some pretty sturdy sandal offerings.

If Teva’s work
otherwise could you try different model, some may not rub.

Or Vivaia do an “adapt all walker sandal” with thick soft stretchy fabric cross overs uppers that could potentially contain your orthotics?

@SpareMe Thank you for your suggestions. I will investigate.
