What to wear in Las Vegas heat and strong air conditioning

Hi,

I’m going to Vegas over the summer, and I’ve read that whilst it’s super hot outside, it’s also freezing when in the air con inside. We’ll be dipping in and out of places, and I’m looking for some ideas of what to wear so that I don’t have to take too much with me. Maybe like a light blazer/shirt/cardi that can be worn with different dresses on an evening but also with my shorts and vest tops during the day?

Thanks!

Dress for the heat, the cool is a great relief.
Some people take a cardigan with them for indoors, I don’t any more. The exception is if I’m going to a show and so going to be sat for a while.
Restaurants, casinos etc no need for anything.

middle east dweller here, dress for heat and add a cashmere cardigan in your bag.

never fails me.

It isn't freezing inside, just relief from the heat. You'll be fine in shorts and t shirt. Have a shirt or very lightweight jacket to use in restaurants when you may be positioned next to the aircon.

And if you haven't been to the US lately be prepared for the prices (and 20%+ tipping). Unbelievable, not in a good way.

Not clothing, but take Vaseline with you. When we went it was really hot but windy and we all got chapped lips!

Yes lip balm and eye drops, it’s a really, really dry heat.

Thanks for the bonus tips, will buy some supplies.

Any tips for footwear too? I know to wear flats, and I have doc sandals, but don’t know if I should be taking anything else.
