Anyone else in their wafting era?

The older I get (now 40) the more I am
embracing wafty clothes in the heat. It’s partly because I hate the feeling of sunscreen but also don’t want to get burnt or
over exposed to sun, and it feels (temperature wise) cooler than exposing bare flesh.

We’ve driven to France for a holiday where my car proudly announced the outside temp was 43.5 degrees last night at 7pm 🫠 I’ve basically packed lots of long sleeve shirts in linen and cotton, and linen and parachute material culottes, and a big linen hat.

So far my favourite purchase has been these culottes from Uniqlo.

I'm wafting! I love my summer wardrobe and it's quite wafty. Nearly all of it is sleeveless. I have a few 3/4 sleeved light thin oversized cotton button down tops that I wear as a top layer to protect against the sun. I've also got a couple of raffia sun visors, which I can recommend as another layer of protection.

I tried on those Uniqlo Colette’s but I was afraid the nylon would be sweaty.
I am in SW France and went to a bought a colourful cotton tent. Even my summer clothes were too hot .. they had waists.
I have loved the wafting too!

I've been wearing some 1970s culottes all week. They're a proper divided skirt so no sweaty crotch. Recommend.

I've never understood the urge to expose skin to the sun. There's a photo of me somewhere on a beach in Greece, age 19. Everyone else is in bikinis, I'm in a long sleeved top and long cotton skirt.

One Hundred Stars has some very nice wafty long dresses in a light cotton , and you could try Gudrun Sjoden for loose tops and bottoms.
