Cool modest work dresses

I need some work dresses that are cool and modest. They need to be semi formal as is ma senior leader in a school and like don’t like anything too feminine with too many ruffles and bows. I need a natural fabric, knee leg or below, cover up to collar bone roughly (no cleavage) not strappy but sleeve less is fine, no back on display at all. Not too swishy.

I am 5’6 and size 12 I have lost 5 stone in Mounjaro. I am hourglass /pear with a pouchy lower stomach. I have a decent waist and 34e chest.

i am open to other non dress suggestions too. But I am getting a bit sick of trousers. Inhave no idea how I have ended up in trousers as untreated wear them.

I have ambie sandals from fat face and a knomo laptop bag and wear gold jewellery

Congrats on the weight loss. I'm the same height and shape, although only at the start of my mounjaro journey. I always found pencil skirts flattering on my hourglass shape. I linked a dress on another thread, so off to find it.

Oh no, just realised its polyester! Sorry. It gives you an idea of what style I mean though. https://www.theprettydresscompany.com/products/the-pretty-dress-company-piper-pencil-dress?variant=56063888523596

If you can find any of the Hush Kensington dresses on Vinted you’d be on to a winner.
I have a few in different patterns that I bought from them along the years.
Light weight, midi/maxi length, buttoned up top, with a double placard that doesn’t gape.

And pockets for all your board pens, toilet passed, confiscated phones etc!

If you are ok with Vinted there are lots of nice shift dresses in natural fabrics from Boden (e.g Chino dress), Hobbs, etc

This might have too much of a v neck for you, but ive been wearing it this week to work and it was very nice and cool. Also it has pockets! 🥳 I have to do a lot of filtering with Popsy to get rid of the polyester dresses / non work prints. But every so often, theres a great cotton, plain dress which is perfect. (I dont do linen as I refuse to iron anymore).

These are all great love the sea salt one.

I will have a look on Vinted that is where I get most clothes from!

I cannot do pencil due to lower tummy.

Next have a whole modest work clothes section online.

I wear mainly The Fold dresses but they might be a bit corporate for education.

I know Shein is frowned upon but ive got several of their short sleeved shirt dresses with a tie belt. They come to my knee and im 5ft9 so definitely modest.Very cool and comfortable.

The sleeveless airism dress from Uniqlo is my go to dress in the summer. It comes in lots of colours, they release new ones each year.

Really cool fabric and can easily be dressed up or down. I wear it for work a lot in the heat but it also works for daytime or out in the evening.

I have it in a few colours now, I tend to pick a new one up each year.
