Sudden massive stress plus stopping eating for weeks has caused a large amount of hair loss. I’ve had it before after each pregnancy abd once when I lost a lot of weight on a ketogenic diet. I’m pissed off but there’s nothing I can do to reduce my stress right now. I’m in a prolonged legal battle that might stretch into next year.

Im trying my absolute hardest to start eating properly again. I’ve lost two stone and have a BMI of 23. So that’s all good. I just know my body has kind of gone into shock which is why it’s happened. I’m in a prolonged freeze/fear state.

i have used Minoxidil for years but it obviously wasnt enough to stop this shedding. I’ve been trying to get some supplements inside of me too. I’ve heard really good things about micro needling the scalp and I have one of those I can use. I will try and increase my protein. I don’t dye my hair so it’s all, or at least it was, virgin hair. I’m also going through menopause which doesn’t help.

Eating properly and some topical treatments are a good start. But getting your stress under control is the most important as it’s the root cause.

The court case may drag out for a long time but how can you cope with that?
can you practise mindful breathing? Walk in nature every day? Swim/ yoga or gentle exercise of your choice? Who is supporting you and can you increase this? With a local group, professional help or journaling?
how is your sleep? Can you practise a good bedtime routine so you are resting as much as possible.

when in tough times a lot of these things are difficult but perhaps a better place to put your energy
