Space NK recommendations

I have received a lovely voucher for space nk as a gift of £150. I have never bought anything there as it is all a bit more high end than what I would tend to use. I wear makeup for work but relatively minimal-have had to give up on foundation as no matter what brand I use it either splits, eventually dries my skin out or the reverse clogs my skin and causes break outs. So I use a cream contour palette and a little cream concealer which is now my alternative to full face foundation. I use nivea soft as my main moisturiser and a stick balm sunscreen as every other sunscreen option ends up balling up or splitting. I have a dermatica subscription aimed at anti ageing and hyper pigmentation so don’t need a good retinol or actives but am open to any other suggestions.
I do like a good eyeliner, mascara, long lasting lip tint etc.
I also like any pampering products for the shower or bath.
Would the great and the good of mumsnet have any recommendations for me for good buys in space nk to make best use of my voucher?

I love space nk own brand shower gel, very reasonable as well. They also do various perfumes.

Thedogswhiskers · 18/06/2026 19:34

Can you get to a shop? They are really helpful and you will be able to try out lots of things

Sparkletastic · 18/06/2026 19:38

Naturium shower gel and body lotion. Skincare ingredients for body care products. Reasonably priced and highly effective.

flippityflip · 18/06/2026 21:30

All good ideas but I fear if I go into the shop I will get talked into something I don’t want/need. It’s terrible and I’m generally quite assertive but glam shop assistants for some reason have me agreeing to buy things I sometimes don’t even like in the shop!

I'd wait and put it towards purchasing their advent calendar. It was £260 last year and has a range of products in it.

Summerhillsquare · 18/06/2026 22:39

Hair stuff? Ouai is lovely.

Morepositivemum · 18/06/2026 22:42

I’d say get on the website and make a lovely list!!!

impostacosta · 18/06/2026 22:44

Whenever I’ve been in store, usually Manchester town centre I’ve never found the assistants pushy. Just happy to let uou browse.

Victoria beckham eyeliners are amazing!
colour wow hair products are fab.
Rare do a lovely liquid blush.
nars multiple stick is a brilliant easy to use blusher

Thedogswhiskers · 18/06/2026 22:44

Ok, so I would probably replenish my Sunday Riley CEO serum, get another Victoria Beckham kajal eyeliner, a rare beauty liquid blush, or medik8 crystal serum. Laura Mercier caviar eyesticks nice too

ItsPickleRick · 18/06/2026 22:47

I second waiting for the advent calendar if you can afford it, they usually contain products valued at over £1000 and it gives you the chance to try lots of different things.

TheChosenTwo · 18/06/2026 22:52

I’d buy my shampoo and conditioner and my favourite perfume from there (you can buy it elsewhere too but I have a space NK nearby so it’s just more convenient.
although annoyingly after the recent round of lavish influencer trips I’ve stopped buying anything from there 😭
Lots to choose from though op, I don’t find the sales assistants in my local one to be pushy at all, someone will always ask if I need help but I wear my big headphones and just smile back and say I’m okay thanks and then am left alone.

If you like minimal/natural makeup, check out Westman Atelier. I was always super minimal with makeup - certainly never wore contour - until a MUA used the WA contour stick on me for my wedding (which was also super minimal/natural makeup). I was truly wowed and it’s become an everyday staple, doesn’t look countour-y at all, just adds a bit of shade/dimension and takes about 30 seconds total.

Tatcha dewy cream is incredible imo - both as a moisturiser and primer - sadly too expensive for me to keep using as an everyday one, though.

SheilaFentiman · 18/06/2026 22:58

Space NK staff are really low
key - they ask once if you need any help and they leave you to it. So don’t worry about feeling pressured.

flippityflip · 18/06/2026 23:02

That is great to know about the staff, maybe I will venture in! The victoria beckham eyeliners look fab and definitely tempted by the WA stick and lots of the other recommendations!! Thankyou lovely people!

Space NK have some of their own fragrances - I like the Caribbean shores one - www.spacenk.com/uk/bath-body/bath-body-gift-sets/bath-body-sets/caribbean-shores-body-scrub-body-oil-MUK200038397.html

Melarus · 18/06/2026 23:12

Some space mk shops offer massages - can you get one of those?

minipie · 18/06/2026 23:13

Agree there is no hard sell.

They are also pretty willing to give you sample pots of skin makeup so you can try the colour and texture properly at home - this has saved me from some expensive mistakes.

My top picks would be Erborian CC or BB cream or Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser - these are all lightweight and may be good if you are a no makeup person. Or Lisa Eldridge skin tint. Hourglass or NARS or Kosas concealer. Milk jelly lip stain, Rare Beauty lip oil. Paula’s Choice BHA.

They have a lot of minis so great for trying stuff out. If you order online you get free samples.

I love Space NK and spend far too much money in there. The Saltair body butters are gorgeous, super moisturising with a long lasting scent - the vanilla is my favourite. If you want inexpensive but good skincare I like Inkey List, particularly the milk cleanser. The transparent cosmetic bags they sell last really well too!

DressOrSkirt · 18/06/2026 23:47

I would buy
Color wow shampoo and conditioner
Diptyque candle

WingBingo · 19/06/2026 08:37

Victoria Bechkham eyeliners
Julliette has a gun perfumes
Colour Wow products are great (especially the thickening mousse if you need it)
Bum Bum cream (I love it but not for everyone)

KiIIingMeDeftly · 19/06/2026 08:40

They do lots of mini/travel size products so if you want to try something you could buy a few of those. They also do 20% off everything pretty often - usually towards the end of the month - if you wanted to make the voucher go even further!

ScoutOfTheSoftHeartsClub · 19/06/2026 11:17

Lucky you! After about fifteen years of not bothering with Space NK at all (I practically lived there in the 90s) I only went back recently when ChatGPT insisted I visit the Westbourne Grove store to try on a particular lipstick whilst killing time before a theatre show. I was impressed with their updated selection of brands - and a decent number of easygoing staff.

I like the idea of saving a voucher to put towards an advent calendar - but if you don’t need skincare there might be too much waste. I could easily spend £150 between Anastasia Beverly Hills (brows), Victoria Beckham (mascara ++), and Westman Atelier (lips).

bittertwisted · 19/06/2026 11:43

Their summer edits look lovely and great value. I’m also a big fan of rare beauty

minipie · 19/06/2026 12:03

What do the Colour Wow products do ? Always hoping to find miracle hair stuff (I have thin flat hair)

flippityflip · 19/06/2026 12:17

I have the colour wow carb cocktail, it is amazing!
