Help! I’m looking to find the holy grail of dresses.
Fancy central London summer wedding, so I want something cool, comfortable but glam enough. I’m 5’2, size 6/8 and really struggle to find anything I like in petite ranges. They seem to pick the worst dresses to change the proportions of. Have tried all the usual - Reiss, whistles, Nobodies Child etc, and have also looked at the fancier end - Reformation, Rat & Boa etc, but think I’d probably need to chop a metre’s worth of material from a v expensive dress! Can anyone help?
What I’m looking for:
- Suitable for petite, so not too much material/drowned effect!
- Me: Blonde hair, mid tone skin (+ a bit of tan), age 39
- No backless (a bit of back, fine, but not the halter/low back style)
- Not too girly. I don’t like excess florals without a bit of edge. Similarly frills etc
- Open to prints. And colour - will likely avoid yellow and brown though
- Probably more fashiony end - open to satin/drapes but as long as I can feel comfortable. No frump!
- Budget - up to £300 max, but also interested in lower budget gems! Have looked for vintage too
- Open to a coord (top and skirt as may be more wearable)
I think that’s as much info as I can muster, but I’m sure my pickiness will emerge!
