Wedding guest dress

Help me find a maxi dress (I’m 5’7 size 12) please. I have tried lots of patterned dresses but they seem to be wearing me rather than me wearing the dress. I’d love just a full colour but scared it will look like a bridesmaid dress. I need a maxi as I have varicose veins!!
